2015 Open Championship — Final Round

By | July 20, 2015

The statistical models are all out the window.  EV means nothing when the average score was 3-under.  I thought I was watching Thursday action at the Bob Hope Desert Classic.  When an easy course has no defenses, we might as well pick names out of a hat.  That’s what w did and we were 1-1-1 on the day for a 0.4 unit gain.  Thanks for the dog bias but the wild Saturday harmed our tournament bets.  Going into Championship Monday we have a ton of great story lines, not including the David Duval sunglasses on a penis look.  Spieth for three in a row?  Day bouncing back from vertigo?  Does DJ choke or does he redeem himself after losing five shots to the field on moving day?  How about Louis O. with a St. Andrew’s back-to-back?  Or 46-year old Retief Goosen who qualified to get in?  Sergio lurking?  Scott Britih Open redemption?  The return of Harrington?  The first amateur to win in forever (Dunne or Niebrugge)?  ESPN can’t put together enough annoying vignettes to interrupt the action — that’s probably a blessing.  I can’t wait.  And with that, some action for the day:

Sneiderjans +160 over Na

Z Johnson -106 over Willett

Day +145 over Spieth

Duval +180 over Mahan

Ogilvy +123 over Donald

Best of luck to all.  Let’s finish strong…
