We have been very heavy on the dogs in the early going.  No different this week.  In the first 3 weeks for some reason the dogs tend to win at a much higher rate than normal.  It probably has a lot to do with the perception of teams we have coming into the season and the reality of those same teams.  We will always look at teams who have had success in the past to continue to do so and on the flip side we expect teams to continue to perform poorly who have been bad in the past.

Our other expectation is when a team makes a move in the right direction one year we expect them to build upon that season and continue the next year.  Jacksonville and Oakland are probably the 2 best examples this season.  With young QB’s and good WR’s both teams went from perennial doormats to respectability last season.  The expecation was for both to make a move toward the playoffs.  It is only week 2 but they are a combined 1-4 to start the season.  Be careful with teams like this if the losing does continue as there will be great value in betting their sides down the road.  These are teams the public will get off of really quickly.  That opens up great buying opportunities.
